President Barack Obama delivered a powerful speech today in Selma, Alabama.  There, 50 years ago this month, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Congressman John Lewis, and so many other unsung heroes crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge — standing up for voting rights and full equality under the law for all Americans.   The President’s speech captured the American experience and made me proud!  You can read the remarks by the President at the 50th Anniversary of the Selma to Montgomery Marches | The White House or check it out on Youtube.
